We’ve decided to change things up a bit and focus on Momiji’s unique offerings. While our rooftop bar and Torii remain fantastic options for a lively night out, we wanted to shine a light on the hidden treasure right under our noses.

During the lockdowns and curfews caused by Covid-19, my team and I at Tjing Tjing had a lot of free time. We decided to use that time to create a new venture called Mochi Mochi, a Japanese pastry shop that collaborates with our neighboring coffee shop, Molten Toffee, as a pop-up. We launched this little over a year ago, and it has been a big hit. Its casual atmosphere and quick service were exactly what people were looking for during this challenging time.
Similarly, we realized that our traditional 12-course kaiseki menu at Momiji wouldn’t be practical or appropriate during a pandemic. So, we decided to adapt and offer a more relaxed and affordable Japanese dining experience that is still true to Momiji’s essence. We wanted to create something that everyone can enjoy.
Hey there! I wanted to let you know about this awesome new summer menu at Momiji. It’s a perfect opportunity to try out the amazing dishes from Torii and Mochi Mochi. Plus, they have a fancy environment where you can reserve a table for a special date night.
Now, let me tell you about some of the mouthwatering items you’ll find on the menu. They’ve got this delicious sashimi served with tasty buchu-pickled ginger. Hey there! I have some exciting news to share with you. Starting from December 2021 until February 2022, we are offering a brand new summer set menu that you won’t want to miss. Make sure to mark your calendars because this fantastic dining experience is only available on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. So, what can you expect from this extraordinary menu?
First things first, let’s talk about the price. This irresistible dining experience will only cost you R425 per person. Now, I know a great deal when I see one, and this is definitely a steal. But wait, there’s more! We also offer pescatarian and vegetarian versions of the menu. Just make sure to let us know your preference when you make your booking.
