Therapy Restaurant: A Haven for Good Food and Conversations
Imagine sitting around a table, surrounded by great company, indulging in delectable food, sipping on a glass of fabulous wine or enjoying a cocktail or two. That’s the essence of therapy – the all-new, upscale restaurant located just off Kloof Street.
The masterminds behind this exquisite establishment are none other than DJ Loyd and Sir Vincent, two born-and-raised Capetonians with a creative flair and a deep connection to Khayelitsha. Their vision for Therapy goes beyond being just another eatery; it’s a space that brings people together and fosters a sense of community.
“We wanted more than just a restaurant,” explains Vincent. “We aimed to create a place that truly represents who we are. It’s a space where meaningful conversations blossom.” Therapy is a haven that welcomes everyone, promoting inclusivity in the heart of the bustling city.
Did you know that therapy is a concept that doesn’t exist in African languages? It’s considered taboo to seek therapy there. So, we wanted to change that by incorporating therapy into the language. It’s therapeutic to have deep and honest conversations with your friends, especially over delicious food.
Our restaurant is the perfect place to relax and unwind. You can settle into one of our comfortable booths or sit in our upholstered dining chairs around marble tables. We even have a stage for live music nights, and our glass doors open up to a spacious front terrace with additional seating.
Indulge in heart-warming soul food
When you’re looking for a menu that satisfies your cravings and warms your heart, look no further than the brilliant mind of consultant chef Paolo Santo from Gemelli in Joburg. He has created a delightful array of flavors served in generous portions that are perfect for sharing or enjoying on your own. Indulge in sticky lamb ribs with couscous salad and pistachios, or savor the taste of buttermilk fried chicken thighs with apple slaw. If you’re in the mood for something spicy, try the chorizo and harissa pasta, or treat yourself to a whole plate of sole with fennel salad. And of course, don’t forget to save room for dessert! Be tempted by the irresistibly delicious baked cheesecake or the panna cotta topped with candied hazelnuts.
“I believe that inclusivity is crucial for our future,” says Vincent. “A restaurant is more than just food. It brings people together, creates a sense of community, and even provides therapy. In our city, country, and the world as a whole, we’re missing this connection. So come join us and experience the power of food to uplift and lighten your spirit.”
