Every year, Camps Bay in Cape Town hosts the astonishing KykNET Silwerskermfees, an event often referred to as “the Cannes Film Festival of South Africa.” It’s an incredible opportunity for filmmakers like me to showcase their talent. To participate, all I have to do is submit a proposal for a 26-minute short film. The selection process is quite competitive, as only the best proposals make the cut.
