The Coolest Places to Eat in Plett
Plettenberg Bay is pure holiday magic! Picture-perfect beaches, stunning nature, and an array of amazing restaurants that cater to every taste.
This fabulous holiday destination has it all – beautiful golden beaches, thrilling water activities, the breathtaking nature of the Garden Route, a handful of charming wine estates, and of course, a selection of trendy and laid-back restaurants to tantalize your taste buds while you enjoy your vacation.
Plett is a small town with a big personality. It effortlessly transitions between glamorous and relaxed vibes, providing a restaurant with a view that matches every mood. Here are some of our favorite options:
Ice Dream Land: A Taste of Italy
Get ready to fall in love with this little slice of Italian paradise. Ice Dream Land, owned by a lovely Italian family, is a green oasis just outside Plett. The spacious venue is perfect for kids to run around and play, and the food is absolutely divine.
Indulge in their authentic Italian dishes and wood-fired pizzas – made by Marco, who learned his craft from an expert Tuscan chef. You also can’t miss out on Marco’s heavenly gelato, which is freshly made each morning. Fun fact: Ice Dream Land started as a gelato truck on Plett beach in 2000, which is how it got its name.
If you visit, make sure to try Grazia’s pasticciata – a baked pasta dish with meatballs and an abundance of melted mozzarella. You can also enjoy delectable antipasti, Italian charcuterie platters, and homemade cheeses served with fresh bread.
Helpful Tips: It’s highly recommended to make a reservation, especially for Sunday lunches. Feel free to bring your furry friend along, but remember to keep them on a leash. If it’s rainy, be prepared for the playground to get muddy, so pack an extra set of clothes for the little ones.
