Art on Church Gallery
Now, let me tell you about the Art on Church Gallery. It’s a fantastic place owned by the talented Knight brothers of Sculpture Casting Services. These guys know their stuff when it comes to bronze sculptures. In fact, many of the sculptures you see around town and on wine farms were made right in their foundry. Isn’t that impressive?
As you walk into the gallery, you’ll be greeted by three leaping leopards at the entrance. Talk about a grand welcome! Trust me, that’s just a teaser of the incredible artwork you’ll find inside the gallery and in the lovely courtyard.
Prepare to feast your eyes on all sorts of amazing creations. There are huge rhino heads, sharks, meerkats, and even the “baby Big 5”. And if that’s not enough, they also have Louis Chanu’s illuminated bio-resin figures and Cristina Salvoldi’s whimsical children. It’s like stepping into a magical world!
But wait, there’s more! You’ll also find stunning paintings and prints in the gallery. So, whether you’re into sculptures or paintings, there’s something for everyone.
If you want to visit, here’s what you need to know. The gallery is open from Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 5pm, and on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. You can reach out to them by calling 021 883 3790 or sending an email to info@artonchurch.co.za. They’ll be happy to answer any questions you have.
The Art on Church Gallery is located at 38 Church Street in Stellenbosch. Make sure to mark it on your map and pay them a visit!
