They’re probably up for sale!

Our Local features a long table that is cleverly divided into smaller nooks by piles of books and plants. This creates an intimate atmosphere for enjoying your meal, or the table can be cleared for special long-table dinners or private functions. The options are endless!

What could be better for the soul than gathering around a table and enjoying good food, engaging conversation, and maybe even a glass of wine or a cocktail? That’s exactly what DJs and creatives Loyiso Mdebuka and Vincent Mvelase Manzini had in mind when they opened their new restaurant near Kloof Street. They had a bigger vision than just a place to eat – they wanted to create a welcoming space where the community could come together and have meaningful conversations.

They brought in chef Paolo Santo from Gemelli in Joburg to create a menu that would warm the heart and satisfy the palate. The menu features a selection of generous small plates and well-portioned main courses. You can share the sticky lamb ribs on couscous salad with pistachios, or indulge in the buttermilk fried chicken thighs with apple slaw. If you’re in the mood for something spicy, try the chorizo and harissa pasta. And seafood lovers won’t be disappointed with the whole plate of sole with fennel salad.
