Welcome to Welbedacht, the Burger family’s farm!

Our farm, Welbedacht, has been a part of the Burger family since the 1990s, but it was established way back in 1830. We’re a sports-loving family, and we even have our own cricket oval. But sports isn’t the only thing we’re passionate about – we also have a sprawling vineyard with 12 different types of grapes. This means we offer a wide variety of wines for you to try in our original cellar, now transformed into a cozy tasting room. The tasting room is located in a beautiful garden where every corner is meticulously manicured.

When you visit Welbedacht, you’ll find four wine ranges to choose from. One of our ranges is called Meerkat, which we like to think of as “SA’s most gregarious wines.” This range was inspired by our very own pet meerkats, who bring much joy and playfulness to our farm. We also produce a special line of wines for the Rugby World Cup, which we’re sure you’ll enjoy.

One of the things that sets Welbedacht apart is our delightful eccentricity and down-to-earth bonhomie. There’s a special sparkle to a visit here, and we hope it adds an extra touch of magic to your experience.

Good to know: Every now and then, we have live music concerts for you to enjoy. We also host the annual Boland Gravel Monster cycling race.
