My name is Luke Wonnacott, and together with my wife Katie, we have created a place where you can indulge in exquisite cuisine without feeling overwhelmed by trends or formalities. We believe that fine dining should be approachable and enjoyable for everyone.
With years of culinary expertise under our belts, including time spent at Gordon Ramsay’s Maze at the One&Only, we are excited to bring our passion for food to Table Seven. I served as the head chef at Ossiano in Atlantis, Dubai, where I honed my skills and learned the art of creating memorable dining experiences.

A transparent culinary experience
So, what can you expect to eat in a place like this? The menu covers all the latest trends: fresh, locally-sourced ingredients that are in season and ethically produced. The chefs incorporate modern gastronomy techniques and ideas without overwhelming the dishes.
When you see an item like a single oyster on the menu, that’s exactly what you’ll get – no distractions. Forget about the delicate smoky flavor, or the pesto, seaweed granité, and oyster jelly that accompany it. It’s simply all about enjoying the oyster itself.
Oyster with pesto, seaweed granité and oyster jelly
Let me tell you about this amazing dish I had: an oyster served with pesto, seaweed granité, and oyster jelly. It was a combination of flavors that I never thought could work together, but they did, and it was incredible. The oyster was fresh and briny, and the pesto added a burst of herbaceousness. The seaweed granité provided a refreshing, icy texture, while the oyster jelly added a touch of sweetness. It was like a party in my mouth.
And speaking of amazing dishes, the next course was just as impressive. It was a wood-fired baguette served with a board of delicious tapas. There were orange-and-rosemary-marinated olives, chorizo piperade (which is a roasted red-pepper purée done in the Basque style), duck rillette, and tiny Spanish sardines in a tin. Each bite was packed with flavor and the combination of ingredients was simply divine. I would go back just for the piperade alone.
Are you a fan of olives and sardines? If so, I have a tasty treat for you. How about trying some orange-and-rosemary-marinated olives with Spanish sardines? It’s a unique combination that will surely tantalize your taste buds.
I had the pleasure of experiencing the Burrata, nectarine, Parma ham, lavender vinaigrette, and basil dish. Let me tell you, it was truly something special. The combination of flavors was a symphony in my mouth, blending the creaminess of the Burrata cheese with the sweetness of the nectarine and the savory goodness of the Parma ham. The lavender vinaigrette added a unique touch, and the basil tied it all together with its fresh, aromatic taste. It was a culinary masterpiece.
Next up was the “grilled octopus with sauce vierge” – a seemingly simple dish with a big impact. It’s not easy to get octopus just right, but this dish nailed it. The octopus was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy, with just the right amount of chewiness. The touch of the grill gave it a smoky flavor that added an extra dimension to each bite. In my mind, I was transported to a beautiful Greek beach as I savored every mouthful. I could have easily devoured a platter of this deliciousness. Chef-patron Luke, take note – your octopus game is strong!

Next up, I have a delicious dish for you – a perfectly cooked single raviolo filled with butternut squash and creamy goat’s cheese, accompanied by fresh peas and tangy pickled waterblommetjie. This dish celebrates the beauty of cooking with seasonal vegetables and pays homage to the culinary traditions of Puglia and Umbria. These humble ingredients are taken to new heights and transformed into something truly exceptional.
Butternut and goat cheese ravioli that will blow your mind
Hey there! Let me tell you about this incredible dish called butternut and goat cheese ravioli. It’s a mouthwatering combination of flavors and textures that will leave you wanting more.
Just imagine the tender ravioli filled with creamy goat cheese and sweet butternut squash. Each bite is like a burst of deliciousness in your mouth, and the flavors complement each other perfectly. It’s a true culinary masterpiece!
Now, I know what you might be thinking. Vegetarian food can sometimes get a bad rap, but trust me when I say that this dish will change your mind. It’s so good that you won’t even miss the meat!
Not only is this dish incredibly tasty, but it’s also super healthy. The butternut squash is packed with vitamins and minerals, while the goat cheese adds a dose of protein. It’s the perfect balance of flavor and nutrition.
So why not give this amazing butternut and goat cheese ravioli a try? I promise you won’t be disappointed. It’s time to elevate your taste buds and indulge in the wonderful world of vegetable cooking. This dish is just the beginning!
Chef Luke shared his culinary philosophy in his second-to-last, main course. And I have to say, it was a hit with the well-fed crowd. Saffron and orange-glazed lamb shoulder, the prime cut for true connoisseurs, was both simple and flawless. The fact that it was paired with a lamb shank that practically vanished with a single breath speaks not only to Luke’s impeccable technique but also to his commitment to satisfying his customers. Both masterful cooking and generous portions define this outstanding chef.
You’re probably wondering, where should I go for a memorable dining experience? Well, Table Seven has the answer. There are so many reasons why I’ll be coming back, from the cozy ambiance to the delightful innovations, but most importantly, the food is simply exceptional.
I can’t wait to see how Luke has stepped up his dessert game. Last time, the vanilla panna cotta shortcrust tart was decent, with a delightful blueberry jelly on top. But it didn’t leave a lasting impression, just like the kind of dessert you would have at your aunt’s Sunday tea. It was nice, but not something that lingers in your memory.
However, Luke made up for it with his heavenly madeleines. They were so good, they could have come straight out of a Proust novel. They were the perfect way to end the meal, leaving us satisfied and happy. I couldn’t help but ask for more. Bravissimo!
Just so you know, Table Seven is open for lunch on weekdays. They offer two daily dishes that change regularly, which you can enjoy while sitting at the kitchen counter. There are also plans to open a deli soon. If you want to stay updated, subscribe to their newsletter.
