And now, it’s finally introduced one of its renowned glamping destinations in a new area, just a four-and-a-half-hour drive from Joburg. This incredible spot is nestled in a lush forest, right on the banks of the Sabie River.

These roomy, safari-style tents are placed strategically apart to maximize privacy and face the mesmerizing river. You’ll only be a few steps away from the water’s edge, with calming green views all around you. Each tent features simple yet tasteful decorations and is nicely shaded by towering indigenous trees. Plus, there’s air conditioning to keep you cool during those hot summer days. These tents comfortably accommodate up to five people, with two separate ‘rooms’. However, do note that the ceiling is open, so noise may easily spread between the rooms.

These baskets come filled with everything you could possibly want for breakfast, from bacon and eggs to fresh crusty croissants. And if you’re looking for an even easier weekend break, you can order braai packs for dinner. Just throw them on the barbecue and you’re good to go.

When booking, be sure to ask for Tent 1 as it offers the most privacy and is located farthest from the office. It’s the perfect choice if you value your personal space. You’ll also love the charming vegetable patch on the property, where you can pick fresh herbs and other ingredients to enhance your meals. And don’t forget to visit the honesty shop, which is stocked with everything you need, from water and firewood to delicious local produce.

While enjoying your stay, make sure to indulge in some locally grown coffee beans from Shiloh Estate. They’re ideal for brewing a flavorful cup using your French press. You can also try the macadamia-nut butter sourced from neighboring farms. And for a refreshing afternoon treat, simply grab some lemons from the shop and add them to your G&T on the tent’s deck.
