Pichulik was born in 2013 thanks to the creative genius of Katherine-Mary Pichulik. Inspired by rich African mythology and the strength of femininity, Pichulik jewellery is like no other.
Our extraordinary pieces stand out for their unique combination of re-purposed rope, cast-brass elements, and stunning gemstones. Every single piece is lovingly crafted by our talented team of women. Talk about girl power!

Step into Pichulik’s Atelier and flagship retail space, tucked away in a charming two-story heritage building just off Bree Street. You’ll instantly feel a sense of peace amidst the vibrant city energy. The interior boasts wooden floors and elegant white-moulded walls, providing the perfect canvas for a stunning array of artistic creations. Sculptural pottery and Xandre Kriel’s furniture, inspired by the art of origami, create a captivating atmosphere.
Prepare yourself for a truly indulgent shopping experience. As you navigate the space, your eyes will be drawn to the main attraction – an exquisite collection of one-of-a-kind, handcrafted jewelry. Every piece is a work of art in its own right. The jewelry is thoughtfully arranged alongside vintage books, delicate ceramics, and intricate floral designs, forming a captivating tableau that delights the senses.
When you go upstairs at Pichulik, you enter a magical realm where the operations and production team is hard at work, surrounded by reels of beautiful colored ropes and twine. The goal was to create a space that would bring the community of Pichulik women together, according to Katherine-Mary and Tracey Chiappini-Young, the dynamic duo behind the brand. The Atelier is a celebration of Pichulik’s heritage of storytelling, craftsmanship, and creativity.
About the Algiers Collection
The Algiers Collection, Pichulik’s latest SS23 offering, is a journey into Katherine-Mary’s family history. She takes inspiration from her paternal grandmother’s birthplace, a remote area in the Aures mountains of northeast Algeria. The collection features intricate designs and circles made of vibrant braided ropes adorned with brass. These designs symbolize memory, ancestry, and the complex tapestry of life and identity. They remind us that we are the embodiment of generations of dreams.
