Hey there! I want to tell you about this awesome B&B called Pablo House in Melville. It has some of the coolest views in Joburg, and it’s a really great, affordable place to stay if you love good food.

So, let me tell you a little story. First, there was this super trendy place called Pablo Eggs-Go-Bar. It was all about serving delicious breakfasts all day long. And guess what? The owners, Louis and Leigh Roux, had an amazing idea. They thought, why not create a fantastic B&B right next to it? After all, what could be better than having a cozy bed just steps away from a place serving mouth-watering breakfasts?

Now, picture this: Pablo House is full of that Latino swank inspired by the legendary Pablo Escobar. You’ll find tropical palms and prints, air plants, and awesome vintage decorations with a touch of gold. It’s like stepping into a glamorous paradise.

And don’t worry about the weather! The outside area is sheltered, so you won’t be bothered by any pesky drafts. But the best part is that the conservatory-style windows still let you enjoy the epic view. Talk about a win-win!

I have to tell you about Pablo House – it’s not your typical Bed and Breakfast. It’s actually the highest point in Melville! When you stay at Pablo House, you get the best of everything. Let me explain.

First of all, the rooms are amazing. They have everything you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Have you ever stayed in a place with super fast WiFi? Well, at Pablo House, you’ll have it! Plus, they have these Nespresso machines that make the best coffee. And wait until you see the UHD Smart TVs – they have Netflix so you can binge-watch your favorite shows. One series you definitely shouldn’t miss is Narcos – it’s so good! And if you’re into music, you can use the Marshall speakers in your room to play your own tunes.

Now, let’s talk about the bathrooms. They have these luxurious rainshowers that make you feel like you’re in a spa. And they provide top-of-the-line Charlotte Rhys toiletries – they smell amazing! You’ll feel completely pampered during your stay at Pablo House.

So, if you’re looking for a unique and luxurious place to stay in Melville, Pablo House is the perfect choice. It’s got everything you need to have an unforgettable experience. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

When it comes to the rooms at the lodge, they offer a variety of options to suit every preference. The main house features three suites with stunning views of the Melville Koppies and Sandton. My personal favorite was suite number three. For those seeking more privacy, rooms four and five are located on a lower level but still offer breathtaking views. If you’re looking for the most secluded option, room six on the ground floor comes with a small, private garden patio – a true hidden gem.

The communal living area at the lodge is a vibrant space, thanks to its carefully chosen furniture and eye-catching artwork adorning the walls. Whether you’re enjoying a sundowner on the patio or grabbing a drink from the well-stocked bar, you’re sure to feel the lively energy of this place.

While staying at the lodge, you’ll have plenty of options for evening entertainment and dining. Melville is renowned for its buzzing nightlife and innovative restaurant scene. If you’re in the mood for a lively atmosphere, Hell’s Kitchen is always a great choice. For those looking to try something new, I highly recommend visiting Mootee Bar, where talented mixologists will craft the perfect cocktail for you.

During my stay, I decided to try Love Me So, a relatively new dining spot in the area. They specialize in fresh Asian tapas and their ramen is excellent. It was the perfect way to end my day at the lodge – indulging in delicious food and immersing myself in the vibrant culinary scene of Melville.

When I entered Room 6 at this amazing guesthouse, I couldn’t help but notice the rock-star memorabilia that decorated the space. It turns out that the owner, Louis Roux, is actually a member of the band Shadowclub. It was a cool touch that added some personality to my stay.

Later that night, as I crawled into the queen-sized bed with its cosy faux-fur blanket, I was pleasantly surprised to find an eye mask and earplugs on the bedside table. It was a thoughtful gesture that helped me relax and get a good night’s sleep.

One of the best things about this guesthouse is the incredible view it offers of the city. From my room, I could see the beautiful leafy surroundings, which added to the overall charm of the place. But what really stood out to me was the value for money. Not only is the location great, but the attention to detail in the design and the amenities provided make it worth every penny.

Another highlight of my stay was the chance to step out of the ordinary and take a tuk-tuk to breakfast. Pablo Eggs-Go-Bar is just down the road on Fourth Avenue, and it offered a unique dining experience. The food was delicious, and it was a refreshing change from the typical continental breakfast spreads found at most guest houses.

As for the cost, it was definitely reasonable. For just R1,650, my friend and I were able to enjoy a comfortable stay with breakfast included. And speaking of breakfast, don’t miss out on the shakshuka – it’s absolutely delicious!
