Step into a world of positivity, good vibes, and one-of-a-kind treasures.
Spice Route invites you to embark on a journey of culinary delights, creative inspiration, and visual marvels. Among the remarkable experiences offered at this extraordinary winelands destination, you will find Lucky Bamboo, a lifestyle shop where everything is focused on the beauty of nature and the art of gifting. And what does “Lucky Bamboo” mean? It’s a nod to the revered plant from the East, known for its ability to bring good fortune.
A Haven of Delight
As the proud owner, Suki Tong has carefully crafted a serene oasis bursting with greenery. You’ll discover stunning arrangements showcasing the captivating shapes and foliage of lucky bamboo, Chinese money plants, money trees, golden coin daisies, philodendrons, and other plants that radiate positive energy.
As you explore the abundance of beauty, you’ll come across fascinating decorative items inspired by Feng Shui. These treasures showcase a variety of designs, ranging from serene Zen motifs and majestic Ming dragons to lucky cats known as maneki neko, adorned with intricate tattoo imagery. You’ll also find exquisite gemstones, delicate paper art, and captivating copper-wire creations. Additionally, vintage discoveries await, including handcrafted wood-carved lamps, Indochine clay pots, and charming water fountains that have been repurposed for today’s modern decor aesthetic.
What sets Suki’s shop apart is her collaboration with a group of talented artists and designers. Together, they craft a one-of-a-kind collection that pays homage to Suki’s Asian and African heritage. Among the standout pieces is a printed-graphic bamboo wood block that holds a tube vase. This item, which was one of Suki’s earliest creations, continues to be a favorite among customers.
When you visit Suki’s shop, you’ll not only find unique and beautiful items, but you’ll also get a special gift – an origami crane! As a child, Suki’s family would gather around the table after dinner and fold origami together. It’s a tradition that Suki loves and wants to share with others. That’s why she’ll be hosting workshops where you can learn the art of origami. Keep an eye out for more information!
Why choose lucky bamboo?
Lucky bamboo is more than just a plant – it’s a symbol of beauty, sustainability, and positive energy. Not only is it stunning to look at, but it also requires minimal maintenance and can live for a long time. For thousands of years, lucky bamboo has been treasured in China as a gift and a decorative plant that brings good luck, prosperity, and happiness to homes and businesses. Experience the magic of lucky bamboo for yourself!
In each of my installations, I make sure to include a specific number of stems, and it’s not just for aesthetic purposes. You see, these numbers hold deep meaning and significance.
For instance, I always include two stems. Why? Well, it’s believed that two stems bring luck and love into your life. Who wouldn’t want a little more of those?
Then, there’s the number five. This number is all about balance. It reflects the five elements and promotes well-being in every aspect of your being – physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and intuitively. It’s like a one-stop shop for overall wellness!
Now, let’s talk about the number eight. When I use eight stems, it symbolizes abundance. Who doesn’t want an abundance of good things in their life, right?
But if you want the ultimate blessing, then you need to go for 21 stems. This number is considered the best all-purpose blessing. It’s like a supercharged dose of positivity and good vibes.
So, when you come to Lucky Bamboo, you’re not just getting a beautiful installation. You’re getting a piece of art that holds deep meaning and positive energy. It’s like a little slice of heaven that you can take home with you.
Speaking of which, I invite you to pay us a visit at Lucky Bamboo. You’ll be surrounded by peace, joy, and the calming presence of nature. And the best part? You can even take a piece of that tranquility home with you.
