The Johannesburg International Comedy Festival is back for another year, and it’s bigger and better than ever! Get ready for six days of non-stop laughter as over thirty comedians take the stage in nine incredible shows. From March 24th to 29th, 2022, join us at the prestigious Maslow Hotel in Sandton and the renowned Theatre on The Square for an unforgettable comedy experience.

Last year, we introduced our mini-festival brand, COVID RELIEF, and it was a huge success. This year, we’re taking things to the next level with the JICF festival. It’s going to be the ultimate celebration of comedy on the continent, bringing together more than 30 talented comedians from local, continental, and international backgrounds. With such an incredible lineup, the Johannesburg International Comedy Festival has become the largest independent international comedy festival in all of Africa.

Get ready for an amazing festival that brings together the best South African performers and rising stars. The JICF is back, and this year’s line-up is packed with talent. In Johannesburg, we have some amazing African comedians lined up for you! You’ll get to see Salvado from Uganda, Q Dube from Zimbabwe, and Akau Jambo from Sudan. These talented performers are bringing their Afrocentric style of comedy to make you laugh and have a great time.

But that’s not all! This comedy showcase is not just about the performances. We have so much more in store for you. There will be panel discussions, podcasts, behind the scenes content, photo opportunities, and even after-show drinks.
