Guardian Peak Winery & Grill: Delicious Fall Flavors In The Mountains
As I look out at the stunning Stellenbosch Winelands, I can’t help but appreciate the beauty of Guardian Peak Winery & Grill. This place is known for its relaxed atmosphere and tasty food, making it the perfect spot for a chill wine-farm experience.
What Can You Expect on Guardian Peak’s Fall Menu?
Guardian Peak’s menu changes with the seasons, and this autumn, they’ve got some exciting dishes lined up. While their steaks are always a crowd pleaser, Chef Willie Mostert is taking things up a notch with some delicious venison sourced from Cape Venison, a fantastic family-run business. According to Chef Willie, the quality of the meat is absolutely amazing.
On the starters menu, you’ll find delicious grilled venison and apricot conserve sosaties with Cape Malay curry yoghurt stars. They’re joined by other tempting options like bobotie spring rolls, creamy seafood curry, and butternut and goat’s cheese risotto. When it’s time for the main course, I suggest trying the grilled venison loin with cauliflower purée, fried polenta, sherry-braised pearl onions, and sultana-and-hazelnut chutney. And if you’re in the mood for a steak, you can’t go wrong with one of Guardian Peak’s famous steaks – they’re always a great choice. If you prefer something lighter, you can go for a satisfying salad, a juicy burger, lamb rogan josh, or roast pork fillet.
And don’t forget about dessert! The dessert menu offers perennial favorites like Amarula panna cotta, crème brûlée, dark chocolate fondant, and a decadent pecan and caramel cheesecake.
