It was through Safari Par Excellence ($120-$145) that I embarked on this thrilling journey. Conveniently located at the Livingstone Waterfront, they were my adventure partners of choice. If you’re looking for a bargain, there are other adventure specialists to consider. The water level was a bit low during my visit, so I could only do a half-day rafting excursion. But let me tell you, even that was enough to leave me exhausted, shivering, and eagerly anticipating a delicious lunch.

2. Bungee Jump, Bridge Swing, Zip Line, or All Three?

When I got to the adventure park, I was initially planning to just try the bungee jump, which cost $120. But then I discovered an amazing package deal that included all three activities for only $150. I couldn’t resist the opportunity to experience all the thrills, so I went for it. And let me tell you, it was definitely worth every extra penny!

3. A Magical Sunset Cruise

For my evening entertainment, I decided to go on a sunset cruise with Safari Par Excellence. It only cost $45 for a two-hour cruise on a beautiful boat. The best part was that the boat had a fully stocked bar with all kinds of drinks. The only thing missing was tequila, but I didn’t mind. They also provided tasty snacks and a delicious dinner. 4. Take a stroll around Victoria FallsWhen I first saw the $20 entrance fee, I thought it was a bit pricey. But when you consider that Victoria Falls is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, it could be worse. People have told me that the falls are best seen from the Zimbabwean side, but that means going through customs and getting your passport stamped if you’re in Livingstone. Personally, I was more than happy with the Zambian side. Just a word of advice – bring a raincoat! You’ll still get drenched, but it’ll provide some protection for your camera.

5. Explore the authentic Livingstone MarketI’m not talking about the market along the main road or the one near the falls where they sell the same old trinkets. There’s another one close to a taxi rank that’s affordable and genuine, with very few pushy salespeople bothering you.

There are so many other things to do in and around Livingstone – going on game drives, taking lion walks, going on village tours, hiking, and even going on helicopter rides. The options are endless. Plus, there are accommodations for every budget, from simple backpacker lodges and campsites to luxurious high-end lodges. With direct flights from Johannesburg and Cape Town to Livingstone Airport, this vibrant little town is easy to get to. Trust me, it’s definitely worth a visit!
