I’m excited to tell you about Proof Wine Bar, which just opened in January. The name “Proof” comes from the amount of alcohol in a drink. It’s a cool and classy place that serves craft beer and craft gin and tonics. You can get a drink at Proof for as little as R28 a glass! And if you’re not hungry for a big meal, they also have biltong and cheese boards.

One amazing event happening soon is Starlight Classics. It’s a music concert that takes place under the stars at Vergelegen. You don’t want to miss it! It’s happening on March 2nd and 3rd, 2018.

Another event you should know about is the “Lady Garden” art exhibition at Cavalli Wine & Stud Farm. It’s a group art exhibition that’s happening until December 3rd. If you’re into art, you’ll love it!

Every year, in late February, Lourensford holds its highly anticipated Hanepoot Harvest. It’s an event that brings families together to pick their own grapes. According to Sally Reece from Lourensford, this is definitely the event of the year! But that’s not all, Lourensford also hosts other fantastic events, such as concerts by the Stellenbosch City Orchestra, movie nights in the cellar, and a market. They even have a Motor Studio, where you can enjoy a classic car collection and indulge in a six-beer tasting for just R100 per person.
