Welcome to SA’s First Cat Café: Where You Can Cuddle Kitties
I’m excited to share with you the amazing concept of South Africa’s first cat café. Yes, you heard it right! A café where you can not only enjoy a cup of your favorite coffee but also snuggle and play with adorable cats. I don’t know about you, but I find the idea fascinating!
When I first heard about this café, I couldn’t help but wonder how it works. So, let me explain it to you. When you enter the café, you are not just walking into a regular coffee shop. This café has designated areas where cats roam freely and interact with the customers. You can sit back, relax, and enjoy your coffee while surrounded by these furry creatures.
Why would someone want to visit a cat café, you ask? Well, there are several reasons why it has become such a popular concept around the world. First and foremost, interacting with cats has been proven to have numerous health benefits. Petting a cat can lower stress, reduce anxiety, and even lower blood pressure. So, if you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed, a visit to the cat café might just be what you need to unwind.
Secondly, cats are known for their unique personalities and independence. Watching these majestic creatures can be a source of entertainment and joy. Plus, who can resist their adorable purring and playful antics? It’s no wonder that spending time with cats can bring immense happiness.
Moreover, the cat café also serves a bigger purpose. It provides a temporary home for stray and abandoned cats. These cats are often rescued and given a safe and loving environment to stay in until they find their forever homes. So, by visiting the café, you are not only getting your dose of furry cuteness but also contributing to a good cause.
If you’re worried about hygiene, don’t be. The café takes utmost care to maintain a clean and hygienic environment for both the cats and the customers. They follow strict health protocols and ensure that the cats receive regular medical check-ups to keep them healthy and happy.
So, whether you’re a cat lover or simply curious, the cat café is definitely worth a visit. Not only can you enjoy your favorite coffee, but you also get to experience the delightful company of these lovable feline friends. It’s a purr-fect way to spend your day!

Welcome to Cat Heaven, where you’ll find an array of delightful gifts inspired by our feline friends.
My name is Valerie Steinmann, and I used to be an academic in Cape Town. But it was my journey around the world that truly sparked my love for cats. In Thun, Switzerland, I stumbled upon a remarkable shop that captured the essence of a devoted cat lover. This was the moment my cat crusade began.
The shop cast a spell on me, and I couldn’t resist the allure of everything cat-related. It was as if a fire had been ignited within me, urging me to gather these treasures from all corners of the globe and bring them together in one magical place.
Hey there! I’m excited to tell you about this amazing Cat Gift Shop called Cat Heaven. Valerie, the owner, has created a special place for all the cat lovers out there.
Valerie has always loved cats, and she wanted to share her passion with others. That’s why she decided to open Cat Heaven, a shop filled with all things kitty-related. When you step inside, you’ll feel like you’ve entered a cat lover’s paradise.
Valerie’s love for cats doesn’t stop at her gift shop. She also opened a unique Cat Café, inspired by her visits to Japan. But here’s the twist – unlike other Cat Cafés that focus on specific breeds, Valerie’s Cat Café is all about helping cats find a new home. It’s the first of its kind in South Africa!
When you visit Cat Heaven, you’ll be amazed by the wide variety of cat-themed gifts they offer. From rare collector items to clothing, jewelry, books, fabric, stationary, toys, ornaments, homeware, chocolates, bumper stickers, mats, and much more. You won’t believe your eyes – they have more cat-inspired gifts than you can imagine!
If you’re looking for something sweet and unique, we have these adorable cat soaps that you can buy. They are perfect for cat lovers like you.
After you’re done with your shopping, you can take a break at the cat café. Enjoy a slice of cake with a cup of tea or coffee while you hang out with some friendly cats.
The café is designed to make the cats feel at home. They have a beautiful garden with an outdoor jungle gym and plenty of catnip. Inside, there’s a cozy play area with a jungle gym, scratching posts, comfy beds, hammocks, and even mirrors that the cats love. We also have lots of toys to keep them entertained.
“We adopted most of our cats from Stellenbosch Animal Welfare,” I said. “Our first group included four ginger and white cats: Major and Coco, who are brother and sister, and Benji and Sunshine.”
“Sunshine got her name because her eyes always look so sad,” I continued. “Next, we have three black and white cats: Gigi, who is the friendliest and smallest of the bunch, Tutu with a white collar, and Barack.”
“We also have five tabbies,” I added. “Jolo is their mother, and she gave birth to Oz, Prince, and Aurora. We also have Messi, who was born with a knot on the end of his tail, not because of any injury.”
“Our other additions are three beautiful tortoiseshell cats: Patches, Zaza, and Amore,” I explained. “And we even have two tortoiseshell cats from Khayelitsha, Cici and Lady,” I concluded, my voice filled with pride.
“Guess what? We have some exciting news from Stellenbosch Animal Welfare! Four more adorable kitties are joining our Cat Heaven family. Faith has already arrived, and Hope, Chatterley, and Paulie will be joining us soon. We named Paulie after Val’s husband Paul, to celebrate his 80th birthday. This brings our total number of rescue cats to a whopping 20!” exclaims Posy Hazell, the spokesperson for Cat Heaven.
So, while you indulge in your delicious treat, get ready to be overwhelmed by cuteness. These kitties will make their way to you, and who knows, maybe one of them will curl up and take a nap right at your table.”
Hey there! Let me tell you about this cool cat café I visited.
The first thing that caught my eye was how this café was designed with the happiness and pleasure of the cats in mind. You see, they prioritize the well-being of these adorable creatures. That’s why they have an entrance fee and offer various refreshments like coffee, tea, soft drinks, cakes, cookies, biltong, popcorn, and Paddle Pops. The money they collect helps ensure that the cats receive proper food and medical care.
Speaking of care, these cats are provided with everything they need. They are micro-chipped, vaccinated, and regularly treated for fleas and worms. They even have insurance! Every day, the cats are groomed, and they get baths when they need them. The café also has a display area where you can see pictures of all the cats, along with their names. It’s a great way to get to know them individually.
Now, here’s something important—you need to follow the Cat Café rules. They take the well-being of their furry children seriously. So, there’s a zero-tolerance policy for anyone who causes distress to the cats. They want to ensure that these cats are happy and comfortable in their environment.
Just to give you a bit of background, Valerie is the person in charge of the café. She’s studying Ethology, which is all about animal behavior, specifically cats. She’s even going to graduate as a Cat Behaviorist soon! She’s passionate about creating a wonderful space for the cats and making sure they have the best experience possible.
So, if you’re looking for a place where you can relax, enjoy some refreshments, and have a heartwarming encounter with adorable cats, this cat café is perfect for you. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
When it comes to cake, there’s nothing better than experiencing it in the company of some adorable cats. Not only do we offer a variety of delicious cake options, but our cat-themed crockery adds an extra special touch to your visit.
Imagine sitting down with a slice of classic lemon meringue or a scrumptious vanilla and caramel cake, taking a sip of your favorite beverage, and being surrounded by playful kitties. It’s a truly purrfect experience that you won’t find anywhere else.
Our cakes are made with love and care, with the highest quality ingredients. Every bite is a taste of heaven, and you’ll find yourself coming back for more. Whether you’re a cake lover or a cat lover, our café is the ultimate destination for you.
So why settle for a regular café? Treat yourself to an extraordinary experience that combines the best of both worlds. Indulge in a slice of cake, enjoy the company of some amazing feline friends, and create memories that will last a lifetime. We guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
Welcome to Cat Heaven Rescue Cat Café! We’re a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and caring for cats in need. When you visit our café, not only will you enjoy a great cup of coffee, but you’ll also be supporting the health and well-being of our resident cats. All the funds we generate here go towards their feeding, maintenance, and providing a safe, comfortable environment for them. And if that’s not enough, any extra funds we raise are donated to other animal charities, so your support goes even further!
Our mission is simple: we want to spread the message that adopting animals from shelters is always the best choice. Instead of buying a pet, consider giving a loving home to a cat in need. The most rewarding part of our work is getting to know the unique personality of each cat. From the shy and timid ones to the playful and outgoing ones, every cat has a story to tell. If only they could write their own book!
One of the things we love most is seeing our cats transform. When they come to us, many are scared and confined to cages. But in our café, they can roam freely and be themselves. It’s truly amazing to witness their happiness and freedom. Every time a cat takes that leap of faith and starts exploring, it warms our hearts.
So, come on in and visit us at Cat Heaven Rescue Cat Café. Enjoy a delicious beverage, relax in the company of our feline friends, and know that you’re making a difference in their lives. Remember, when you choose to adopt, you’re not just bringing joy to a cat’s life, but to yours as well. We can’t wait to see you!
There’s a tired cat at our table, fast asleep…
