They believe that butter is the most magnificent ingredient that can transform any dish into a culinary masterpiece. That’s precisely why they named their charming daytime spot in Cape Town’s bustling CBD after their beloved ingredient. At Butter, you’ll find everything on the menu made with the rich goodness of butter or served with a generous dollop of it. Now, we have this absolutely popular dish called the Hashbrown Stack. Trust me, it’s a winner! Imagine two perfectly poached eggs, crispy bacon, creamy avocado, tangy feta, a hint of peppadew, and fresh rocket all piled up high. It’s a mouth-watering combination that I can guarantee you won’t be able to resist.

Believe me, I have seen it happen to one of our teenage guests. This hungry youngster ordered the Hashbrown Stack and before they knew it, they had devoured every single bite. It’s just that good!

I had such a great time at the Make Room For Mushroom restaurant. I got to try their delicious mushroom and Parmesan risotto, which was absolutely amazing. I paired it with a lovely glass of white wine, and the flavors complemented each other perfectly.

If you’re feeling a bit adventurous, you can also try their unique cocktails. The Butter White Russian is a fun twist on the classic drink, made with oat milk, Kahlua, vodka, and espresso. It’s smooth and indulgent, and definitely worth a try. Another great option is the Morning Mule, made with vodka, ginger, orange juice, and lime. It’s refreshing and tangy, and pairs wonderfully with their classic comfort dishes like the homemade Butter Burger or the Burnt Butter Ravioli.

Let me tell you about this amazing homemade Butter Scone that I absolutely love. It’s absolutely delicious and incredibly filling. When you order it, you’ll get a generous portion served with butter, cream, and homemade berry jam. Trust me, it’s the perfect mid-morning snack, especially when paired with a refreshing iced coffee.

The texture of this Butter Scone is just perfect. It’s firm enough to hold its shape when you cut into it, but it’s also incredibly soft and melts in your mouth when you take a bite. It stands out amidst the drab buildings with its walls painted a soft, buttery cream and vibrant umbrellas shading its outdoor seating. The energy emanating from this bustling spot is infectious, and it’s a place that never seems to slow down, even on weekends when the rest of the city centre takes a breather.

Step inside and you’ll find a space that’s light, bright, and inviting. The decor is clean, modern, and uncluttered, with wooden tables and chairs that are both cozy and comfortable. Let me give you the details. We are open on Tuesday through Friday from 8am to 3pm. On Saturdays, our opening hours are from 9am to 3pm. And on Sundays, we open at 9:30am and close at 2pm.
