This amazing attraction, called The Long Tom Toboggan, opened in March of this year. It’s owned by James and Lisa Sheard, who worked tirelessly for over two years to bring this unique monorail track to life. They were inspired by a European model known as an ‘alpine coaster’ or sommerrodelbahn. Imagine riding an amazing roller coaster, but on a single rail track!

Where can you find it: The Longtom Toboggan ride is located at Misty Mountain on the R37 Long Tom Pass. It’s about 24 kilometers from Sabie and 31 kilometers from Lydenburg. You’ll find it on the Panorama Route in Mpumalanga.

Cost: Each ride will cost you R250. This price is valid until 31 January 2017. It is important to make a booking in advance, especially for rides on weekends and public holidays.
