It’s this really cool celebration of the Mexican holiday called ‘Dia de los Muertos’. At the party, everyone dresses up in fancy costumes and gets their makeup done in a special way. I’m excited to tell you about the country’s biggest Halloween event! It’s been going strong for eight years now and is happening again on October 28th. And guess what? It’s not just for adults – the whole family is invited! You can even bring your pets along, too. How cool is that?
The event kicks off with the Zombie Walk, a one-hour stroll (or lurch!) through the city center of Cape Town. No worries if you’re not into alcohol – this is a non-alcoholic event. But if you’re looking to have a bit of extra fun, there’s an afterparty with local artists. Just keep in mind that you have to be 18 or older to join the afterparty. Plus, all the money raised from the Zombie Festival goes towards supporting charities like the Luck Lucy Foundation. So while you’re having a blast, you’re also doing something good for others.
