So, if you’re looking for an adventure that’s suitable for all ages, sandboarding is the perfect choice. Even if you don’t want to participate, you can still come along as a spectator and enjoy the excitement!
If you’re ever in Jeffreys Bay, you absolutely cannot miss out on sandboarding. The adventure starts at the Wacky Wipeouts Sandboarding Shack, which you can find at the Marina Martinique Beach Parking area.

Now, it’s a treasure trove of all things related to marine life. But what makes it truly unique is its collection of micro shells from Jeffreys Bay. 10. Papiesfontein Beach Horse Rides
Hey there! I wanted to tell you about this amazing place called Papiesfontein that’s not too far from Jeffreys Bay and not too far from Port Elizabeth either. It’s this farm where you can go horse riding and it’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. The farm is right in between the Gamtoos and Kabeljous rivers, and it’s so beautiful there.
A lot of people visit Papiesfontein just for the horse riding. It’s become really popular over the years, and it’s not hard to see why. The combination of the beach and the bush is just magical.
Frankie and Esré Lötter have been running Papiesfontein since 1980, and they’ve turned it into a place called Papiesfontein Beach Horse Rides. They started offering horse rides in 1996, and now they have 55 well-trained horses that you can choose from for your ride. Some of them are a really interesting mix of Boerperd and Scottish Highland Pony, and they’re the only ones in the whole country.
Riding these exhilarating journeys has become incredibly popular, making them an absolute must-do in the picturesque town of Jeffreys Bay. As you embark on this exciting adventure, you’ll have the opportunity to traverse a 13km path that winds through a variety of landscapes, ultimately leading you to an adrenaline-pumping stretch along a secluded beach.
