Romeo & Clara Ravhuhali

Romeo & Clara Ravhuhali

We met back in 2017 through a mutual friend. We started dating in December 2017.

Our first date was at Silverstar casino. Yep, we went gambling for our first date! Β We clicked from first date. We realised that we were 98% different. We share absolutely nothing in common and that made us even closer.

He proposed on the 30th January 2019. Exactly 1 YEAR, 1 MONTH and 1 DAY.

He organized a photoshoot for us with a professional photographer. It was lovely and fun. He went on one knee when I turned around I almost faintedπŸ˜πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. I said a big Yes!! I saw this beautiful ring staring at me.

March 2019 we had our lobola celebration which was done in one day. From there we started planning our wedding. To tell the truth, it was such a beautiful experience. We never had to stress about anything. We had an army of people praying for us, physically helping where they can. Counting down days. Time flew so fast.

Our bridal party was cooperating and supportive. We had fun practicing our grand entrance. I only went once to Zodwa Bridal and found my dress. Fantastic service.

Our wedding was beautiful. It was like a dream. We had support and love from both families and friends. Our church was behind us all the way. We thank God for such a wonderful and successful day.

What Was Your Favourite Aspect Of The Day?

The company of our families and friends. The atmosphere was lit. We danced until sunset. The matrimonial service was surreal.

What Would You Change in Hindsight?

Absolutely NOTHING

What Advice Would You Give to Future Brides?

  • RELAX! Stressing too much will only drain out the life in you.
  • Take breaks in between planning your wedding and get a glass of bubbly!
  • Delegate duties on time so that you don’t run around before the wedding.
  • Surround yourself with the people you love and recharge now and then.
  • Enjoy your wedding preparations.

How Has Married Life Been? Any insights you can share?

Nothing changed much for us. Romeo is still my boyfriend hahaha. A permanent one. The first day back at work after the wedding was funny. Had to consciously remember not to write my maiden Surname πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

So glad to have witnessed your matrimony.
